Paypal, the biggest processor of online payments plans to open and application store in effort to further developer business and it's online payment system. The plan includes a system for both mobile and desktop applications. "I want developers to think of PayPal first whenever they hear the word "payments" and I want to know what it will take to get there. We're willing to do it. We're willing to innovate and experiment on their behalf and hear their feedback" said Osama Bedier, Paypal's vice president of Platform Business Unit and Emerging Tecchnologies.
So sounds like you will be able to buy anything and everything for your mobile device and desktop through the PayPal store.
Personally this is great news, I love paypal I use ebay and the blackberry app store all the time and my paypal account is so handy for making purchases online, it's the only way I feel safe making a payment online! (FYI If you ever have a problem DO NOT CALL CUSTOMER SUPPORT UNTIL YOU UPGRADE TO A PREMIUM ACCOUNT, it is free for the upgrade and when you upgrade you are given the AMERICAN customer support line that can do waaaay more to help you out and they speak english very well.)
