Adobe: "Read eBooks on any device!" Apple: "No, read iBooks on an iPad, or and iPhone or iTouch, screw off Adobe!"
Apple will not be using Adobe's Digital Right's Management (DRM) software, instead they will be publishing new Apple DRM software to protect eBooks on the iPad. The Adobe DRM system and theory is that a customer would be able to purchase and read an eBook on any e-reader. So essentially Adobe wants to create a global DRM so that manufacturers can share resources for books, and Jobs said poo on you Adobe, we want people reading iBooks not eBooks. In any case DRM is a joke, I hate devices that use DRM and for now I'm sticking to paperbacks.
