According to MobilitySite the Tour2 is being delayed due to wifi issues, and an email from a RIM insider reports that the device may not even be called a Tour at all. Check out the quote from the email.
"Some Verizon stores did get the 9650. They were sent back for "updates". Verizon won’t release the 9650 until the official OS 5.0 arrives for the Tour 9630. The Sprint 9650’s are having WiFi issues and Sprint is working that out. And at the end of the email he states: "it won’t be called the Tour 2. It’s the Bold 9650."
This doesn't make any sense to me, and if it is true I really don't understand what's happening over their at RIM. In my mind Curve is the entry model, pearl is for teenagers and girls, storm is for touch lovers, Bold is for bb addicts and Tour is for the international business man. When I think Tour I think worldphone. In my opinion I think it shuold be renamed the Blackberry Worldphone. If they call the 9650 a bold it also looks like its just an older crappier version of the bold to most consumers ad the model number is 50 less than the current bold 2 (9700). Hopefully this is all just a mix up, if not RIM get off the crack pipe.
