Mobile World Congress 2010: Adobe AIR for Mobile, Flash 10.1

Today at MWC Adobe announced improvements to the Adobe Flash Platform including Adobe AIR for mobile devices. Adobe is leading the way with The Open Screen Project, which includes close to 70 partners. AIR will provide developers with a feature rich environment which will enable flash to run across the whole platform across multiple operating systems. The new platform is optimized to deliver high performance on mobile displays and to take advantage of native device capabilities for a richer user experience.
A beta version of flash 10.1 was made available to content providers and mobile dev's worldwide. Availability   to the general public is expected in the first half of 2010.

It's estimated that by the end of 2012 more than 250 million smartphones will support the full Flash Player. Mobile Platforms to be supported are Android, Blackberry, Symbian, Palm and Windows Mobile. No support for apple devices, that's right Jobs is working on some magical html format that is going to "change the whole game"

*Personal Opinion*

This is an exciting time, either Apple has made a huge mistake or they are hiding something mindblowing!
